| LEGAL : What does royalty-free music means ?

For most of the tracks and sounds that you can download from the web or that you heared on tv's and radios, the copyrights had been registered to an authors company, a syndicate or some government service like the SACEM does in France.
A media producer has to pay a fee for every minute, second, or every cue that the music is used in a production. If he dropped the same music in more than one place in the programme, he would have to pay a needle-drop fee for each one.
He might also have to pay a royalty to the composer, based on the amount earned, or copies sold of the product in which the music was used, or number of monthly visits (for Internet).
One says that limiting the track display in time duration undertakes it's free use, this is totally wrong.
A music labellised " Royalty-free " (just like the ones you can find on this site) means a music that you can use as much as you want, after having paid one single license fee.

| LEGAL - I heard a music track on the radio. Do you have it?

We do not have music tracks by "popular" artists or any other artist or song you may have heard on the radio. All our music was composed by our on-staff composers and producers.
To buy a license to use a music track from a popular music artist is usually a lot more complicated, and a lot more expensive, than to license music from a music library such as ours.
The world of music copyrights and licensing laws is a complex one, and if you wanted to use a copyrighted track you would first have to obtain a Synchronization License. Then a Master Use license. Then you would need to sort out the Mechanical License and probably also a Performance License. All these different licenses would have to be obtained from different places, all would involve negotiations, probably lawyers, and a considerable cost. We're talking thousands of dollars.
This is why people come to places like ours, "royalty-free" music libraries where they just pay a one-time simple license fee, and come away with all they need in order to use the music track. | TECHNICAL - How to build my file "Tracklist.xml" ?

This file is necessary for the majority of the players provided in the catalogue.
If you have any problem to build this file, we propose you the following hint :
- Go in the Historic heading and choose among your old orders the
pieces which you decided to realize to play on your page.
- Validate once more the order (it’s free!!).
- Open your mail box to know the remote loading Url and return on the page.
- It is useless to download the songs again, but click on a link which
you will find under this list entitled: [Download a "tracklist.xml" example in relation to my order]
- now place this file in the directory where is placed the player on your ftp

| TECHNICAL : How to prevent music to be stopped when browsing a site.

If you are using players like the "playlist-player" and you did choose long loops maybe you wish the music not to stop when browsing.For the sites using flash, it's easy to do, for the sites using html you have to :
- Integrate the player in a separate popup window.
- Use a frames display system to browse the site .

| TECHNICAL : I devellop a Flash site, how to integrate your music in it ?

To play some music with Flash you don't need any of our players.
- If you have downloaded a SWF file, simply use "loadMovie" command. First of all you have to create and insert an "invisible" item i.e. called "music" Then, simply add the following command line to your script :
music.loadMovie(nameOfMusic.swf);
- If you want to use WAV format, while working with your Flash, go to "File, Publish Settings" and check the "Audio stream" setting. Here you can set the level of compression used on the music. Harder compression means smaller file, shorter loading time, but lower sound quality.We recommend a setting of MP3, 64 kbps, stereo.

Delivery Delay
Depending on the internet provider you have, some providers double check emails before it reaches your email box.It can take several hours before your mails have been distributed.
No Delivery :
- First Check your account information to see if you did not enter a bogus or misspelled email address.
- The most common reason is that you have a spam filter which has either deleted it, or put it in the "spam folder".You have to temporarly disable those features, then you can receive our e-mail.

In order to play the tracks, you must have had installed Macromedia's Flash plug-in.Every visitor on our site should aswell had installed Macromedia's plugin.Macromedia's program ditribution is restricted, you have to proceed like follows :

| TECHNICAL - The player is blocked on 0%

If the player integrated in your html code stays blocked and no music is played, this may be due to the following causes :
- You may have had forget to insert the file "tracklist.xml" located in the same directory as the player.
- You may have not modify the file "tracklist.xml" with the tracks names.
- You maybe did move the music items in a separate folder and now, still have to modify it path in the file "tracklist.xml".
If this problem persits it could be a wrong spelled trackname (mind please match the name with Capitals and lower case letters)
